α-Aminophosphonates (4a-h) were synthesized in one-pot simultaneous reaction of aniline(1), dimethylphosphite(3), and different aromatic aldehydes (2) by Kabachnik–Fields reaction in ethanol at room temperature. The products (4a-h) were obtained in good yields. All these compounds were found to exhibit moderate to good antimicrobial activity.
